This is a hybrid role and will require weekly in-studio presence in our Vancouver HQ.

  • Responsible for day-to-day banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable entries and duties, including:
  • Posting of banking transactions for all bank accounts in multiple entities and currencies
  • Ensure all bank transactions are properly recorded, organized, and filed
  • Assist with general banking functions, including deposits, requisitions, and month‑end reconciliations
  • Manage Payables/Vendor records across fiscal periods including organizing, tracking, coding, and processing of all invoices and payments as per agreed terms
  • Responding to vendor invoice inquiries
  • Manage Receivables/Customer records across fiscal periods including submitting and posting client invoices as per payment schedules
  • Assist with the bi‑weekly payroll runs, including:
  • Review and transmit the biweekly payroll information to Rippling accurately and in a timely manner
  • Responding to all internal and external payroll inquiries in a timely manner and working proactively to resolve reoccurring issues
  • Preparing Records of Employment on a bi‑weekly basis
  • Year‑end rollover of all payroll records and functions, including processing of T4s
  • Recording of payroll‑related journal entries and monthly GL reconciliations to payroll systems
  • Assist in the monthly review and analysis of financial records for corporate budgeting and forecasting process, including periodic and ad‑hoc preparation
  • Assist with year‑end and audit, as required
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting (Payroll, WCB, EHT, etc.)
What you bring with you:
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role in an office environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both written form and verbally with team members and various stakeholders
  • Detail‑oriented and process driven, with high expectation of self and sense of urgency
  • Proactive and accountable, takes initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and effective time management
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Payroll experience considered an asset
  • SAP Business One experience considered a plus
  • A degree in accounting or pursuing a CPA designation preferable
  • An enthusiasm for animation considered a plus

Pay Range: CAD $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including your education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical location, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
