Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The day to day
  • Apply clients payments accurately and perform regular account reconciliations
  • Manage billing activities, including preparing and issuing invoices
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients while addressing billing or account-related inquiries
  • Oversee corporate credit card reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of staff expenses
  • Create work orders and jobs for costing purposes within our accounting or ERP system
  • Assist in gathering and organizing documentation required for the year-end audit
  • Support month-end close activities and collaborate with the Finance team on various accounting tasks as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting-related administrative role
  • Experience with accounting or ERP software is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data manipulation)
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong accuracy in data entry and financial review
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication with the ability to maintain positive client relationships
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new systems and processes
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position based in Vancouver with potential for hybrid work after probation
  • Occasional overtime during month-end, quarter-end, or year-end cycles
