Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is seeking a Junior 3D Piping Designer in Burlington, Ontario on a contract basis. You will assist in developing piping layouts and 3D models for industrial and process plant projects, under guidance from senior staff.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in process piping drafting and 0–2 years of piping design experience, with familiarity in AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years piping design experience; co-op, internship or academic project work considered.
• Familiarity with industrial/process facilities is an asset.
• Exposure to AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts, 3D models, and detailed drawings for industrial projects.
• Prepare piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs under supervision.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, process and HVAC disciplines.
• Assist in creating P&IDs and 2D drawings from 3D models.

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Junior 3D Piping Designer in the Engineering consulting industry in Burlington, Ontario.Our client a EPC firm in Burlington is seeking a Junior 3D Piping Designer to join their Industrial & Infrastructure division on a contract basis.Total rewards:$35.00 - $40.00 hourlyPreferred rates for benefit coverage availableOpportunity for extension or permanent placementA typical day:Assist in the development of piping layouts, 3D models, and detailed design drawings for industrial, chemical, and process plant projects under the guidance of senior designers and engineers.Support the preparation of piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs.Assist with the development of mechanical equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings.Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, electrical, process, and HVAC teams, to support integrated project delivery.Assist in the preparation and revision of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Develop 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and generate 2D drawings from the models.
