Job summary

IS2 Workforce Solutions is seeking a JR Quality Engineer for a busy Ontario manufacturing facility. You will interact with Production and Engineering to ensure product quality, support product launches, and drive quality training across teams.

The role requires hands-on QA skills, calibration of instruments, and experience with ISO9000 and audits. Travel may be required, and the position offers a straight day shift with weekly pay and full-time opportunities.

• Experience with ISO9000 Quality Systems in Automotive environment.
• Experience in Quality Systems Audits.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with Production and Engineering to maintain product Quality during APQP.
• Assists Production with all Product launches.
• Identify and implement quality-related training.
• Write NCRs and obtain disposition on rejects.
• Maintain NCR log and docket system.
• Maintain calibration log of tools.

AVAILABLE SHIFT

Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Interacts with Production and Engineering departments to maintain product Quality throughout the Production Part Approval Process through APQP meetings.
• Assists Production with all Product launches.
• Identifies and implements Quality related training.
• Write nonconformance reports and get disposition on rejected materials.
• Maintain NCR log.
• Maintain and update docket system.
• Maintain calibration of tools and calibration log.
• Handle and maintain RMA and customer complaints.
• Initiate REA’s and maintain log.
• Perform material tests when required and write reports.
• Interface with suppliers to correct material problems.
• Visit customers on site to provide assistance on product quality issues.
• Performs first off inspections.
• In-process Inspections.
• Ensures product is identified.
• Performs internal Quality Audits.
• Performs Final Inspection.
• Provide inspection results to customer upon request.
• Interface with customer service and shipping for priorities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Ability to read blue prints
• Problem solving experience
• Quality Assurance certificate from a recognized college institute.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Calibration of measuring instruments
• Experience with ISO9000 Quality Systems within an Automotive environment
• Experience in Quality Systems Audits
• Able to travel when required (Passport)
