Qualifications

  • Training and certification in polymeric, IPC; J-STD001, 620 including space addendum.
  • Experience in the Electro-Mechanical field is an asset.
  • Previous experience in MIL-STD, AS9100 environment considered valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, repair and rework electromechanical assemblies.
  • Adhere to applicable NASA, IPC and MIL standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation to meet delivery requirements.

We’re looking for a Junior Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Test Technician to join the Robotics and Space Operations team at our Brampton Ontario state of the art facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble, repair and rework electromechanical assemblies
  • Adhere to all applicable NASA, IPC and MIL standards
  • Maintain proper documentation to demonstrate all tasks are completed correctly to meet a customer’s or Engineering’s delivery requirements by paper or electronic means
  • Generation of Non-Conformance Reports
  • General support to all higher level Electro-Mechanical Assembly employees
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Training and certification in polymeric, IPC; J-STD001, 620 including space addendum
  • Strong Electronics and Mechanical background including assembly and troubleshooting Electronic/Mechanical devices
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics
  • Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping, measurement equipment, etc.
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment
Education and Experiences
  • Experience in the Electro-Mechanical field is an asset
  • Previous experience working in MIL-STD, AS9100 environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an asset
  • College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical technology, technician or equivalent experience
