Highlights of this opportunity:
  • Receives, compiles, codes and sorts documents related to Accounts Payable (A/P) and Receivable (A/R) for input into the financial data processing systems;
  • Verifies and posts details of A/P and A/R transactions into the financial data processing system and totals accounts to ledgers or spreadsheets and databases;
  • Maintains and records all incoming invoices and payments received and the status of each transaction within the processing system, seeks necessary approvals;
  • Processes employee reimbursements (including urgent payment requests);
  • Prepares A/P and A/R month and year-end reports, and reviews for accuracy;
  • Ensures the secure handling and storage of confidential documents;
  • Assists other team members and carries out other duties as needed and assigned.
Your accomplishments and experience include:
  • A diploma/certificate in a relevant discipline combined with proven relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting system would be an asset;
  • Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is an asset;
  • Proficiency with Internet, e-mail, and other business-related computer software is required.
