A leading utility contractor in Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Powerline Technician to join their team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. This role requires Journeyperson certification and experience with power distribution systems, along with strong knowledge of electrical theory and safety procedures. Our Distribution group is currently seeking Journeyperson Powerline Technicians (PLT) to join our team, based in Edmonton, AB.
Reporting to the Foreman, these positions construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, working with cables, conduits, and associated equipment like transformers and splicing tools. They will install, troubleshoot, and repair power lines, often working at heights or in confined spaces such as trenches and tunnels.
