Valard Construction in Ontario is seeking Journeyperson Powerline Technicians (PLT) to join our team in the Aylmer area. This hands-on role supports construction of overhead and underground power distribution systems, with safety and teamwork at the core.

Candidates must reside locally, be union eligible, and hold 434A/Red Seal. The position offers hourly pay from $45.04 to $67.56, plus benefits through CUSW and opportunities to mentor apprentices on energized work, system switching, and UG

Competenze

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification is required.
• Experience in utility construction is required.
• Ability to read construction prints and electrical schematics is required.
• Valid Driver's Licence with acceptable driving record.

Mansioni

• Maintain steel/wood poles, towers, and guy wires.
• Install overhead and underground power lines, insulators, conductors, transformers, switches and equipment.
• Perform conductor stringing, sagging, clipping and dead-ending (energized and de-energized).
• Execute advanced system switching tasks, including reclosers and loop feeds.
• Conduct UG cable testing, terminations and equipment installation.
