Sterling Fire Protection in Edmonton, Canada, is seeking a Journeyperson Sprinkler Service Installer/Technician. You will install, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, reading blueprints and ensuring compliance with codes. Strong communication and reliability are essential on site.

The role requires, among other things, precise pipe work, adherence to safety protocols, and mentoring apprentices while representing Sterling Fire to clients on location.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson status or equivalent certification for sprinkler installation.
• Cross Connection Certification is an asset.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler systems per project specs, blueprints and codes.
• Mount, connect and position sprinkler heads for proper function.
• Test and inspect systems to meet local codes and standards.
• Read construction blueprints to determine layout of components.
• Transport and handle materials, tools and equipment.
• Cut, thread and groove pipes; install hangers and supports.
• Maintain safety protocols and keep a safe work environment.
• Document installation activities and changes accurately.
• Interact professionally with clients and contractors on site.
• Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler systems as needed.
• Represent Sterling Fire with clients on site.
• Mentor apprentices as they progress through the program.
