Job summary

WQS Industrial Services Ltd. in Fort McMurray, AB, is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for a 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-hour schedule. Ground and rope access options available; IRATA certs preferred if not Journeyman. Anticipated turnaround from immediate to Oct 2026 with possible extension.

Hourly rate ranges from CAD 35.00 to CAD 67.00. Flights and camp are provided by the company. Valid Driver's license with a 3-year abstract and certain safety certifications are a bonus.

Qualifications

• IRATA Level 1-3 certification required unless Journeyman status is achieved.
• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Pipefitter certification required.
• Fit for Duty and able to pass safety rules incl. drug/alcohol testing.
• Valid driver's license with a 3-year driving abstract; related safety certs bonus.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude; safety-first mindset.

SomethingBIG is coming to our Fall 2026 Turnarounds. WQS INDwill be giving away one brand-new vehicle to an eligibleWQS INDemployee. Employees who commit to and complete their entire Turnaround assignment may have the opportunity to qualify for the draw. Official contest rules and eligibility details will be provided to eligible participants.

• Various Apprentice Pipefitter positions available if you are IRATA Certified.
• Ground and Rope Access opportunities available for Journeyman.

Schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off - 12-hour per day.
Anticipated Turnaround Duration:Immediately to October 2026 - possibility of extending
Hourly Rate:$35.00 - $67.00
Additional Information:Flights and Camp are company provided.

What You Will Bring

• Rope Access IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification, or interest in obtaining your IRATA Certification is required, unless Journeyman status has been acheived.
• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Pipefitter certification required.
• Must be Fit for Duty at all times and be able to comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace which includes alcohol and drug testing.
• Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract, Common Safety Orientation & Confined Space Certification are a bonus.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must.
• Demonstrate high standards of safety and align with best-in-class company culture.
