Parts Technician/Manager

Agriterra Equipment is one of North America's largest AGCO dealers with nine locations in Alberta. We represent exceptional brands, including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Rogator, Bourgault, Morris, and Cub Cadet.

We are looking for an exceptional Journeyman Parts Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie. This role will be key to growing our parts business, leading our parts team, managing inventory and delivering an exceptional client experience. Depending on the candidate, the position may begin as Parts Manager, or we will work with the successful candidate to develop into the role.

Our Grande Prairie branch presents a unique and exciting opportunity, as a parts only location with remote field service, it is modelled around Agco Corporation's Farmer Core strategy.

What makes the role exciting and what does it involve?
  • Leading the parts department as we develop our Farmer Core Strategy in the Grande Prairie market.
  • Monitoring department goals and budgets to stay on track.
  • Annual budgeting, in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Developing strategies to grow the parts business and ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Sourcing and recommending parts to customers on a wide range of agricultural equipment.
  • Acting as an advisor to customers to educate them on the parts they need and related parts they should consider or may need.
  • Managing and optimizing inventory levels based on part sales history and trends.
  • Coordinating the complete inventory counts and assisting as needed.
  • Resolving customer concerns or inquiries.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience as a senior Parts Technician, Parts Lead Hand, Parts Supervisor, Parts Manager, Product Support Sales Representative (with a background in the parts department) or similar position related to Parts Management.
  • An understanding of the agriculture business would be preferred.
  • Great leadership skills to effectively lead a team to achieve goals.
  • A demonstrated track record of growing a parts business or the ability to learn financials and grow a business.
