Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking an experienced Journeyman Parts Technician to support its Fort McMurray-area operations. The role focuses on purchasing, receiving and distributing parts, while supervising Shipping/Receiving staff in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will manage inventory, negotiate with vendors, and help maintain the maintenance software system; strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Journeyman status preferred as a parts technician.
• 3–5 years experience in a parts technician role in transportation.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Forklift ticket is an asset.
• Knowledge of trucking industry and parts handling.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Aufgaben

• Quote, purchase, receive and distribute parts/supplies per maintenance needs.
• Track and control shop costs and inventory flow.
• Negotiate price with vendors and present options for approval.
• Support maintenance budget as directed by Manager.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining maintenance software.
• Organize parts room, set locations, labels and catalog inventory.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving with multiple carriers; forklift loading/unloading.
• Assist HR/management with personnel recruitment and safety.
• Promote safe work environment and follow procedures with the HSE team.

Kenntnisse
