A leading HVAC company in Calgary is seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic. You will be responsible for the efficient operations and maintenance of HVAC systems, including installation and troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills are essential. The Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic is located in Calgary, Alberta reporting to the Division Manager or their designate and requires travel to surrounding areas. The Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic is primarily responsible for the efficient operations and maintenance to a variety of HVAC equipment. The position includes, but is not limited to, installation, identifying the cause of malfunctioning parts/equipment, repair, inspection, etc. Working directly with customers to ensure they are completely satisfied with the work required.

Overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform routine predictive planned maintenance duties
• Complete work orders and deficiency reports
• Assemble and install refrigeration and air conditioning components
• Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Test heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for leaks
• Repair and replace components for entire heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Starting up and shutting down major building equipment seasonally
• Handle, recover and store refrigerants
• Test and repair electronic components
• May occasionally be required to work over 40 hours per week and be available for on-call duties
• Other duties as required
