Job summary

Leading Edge Electric is actively seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to lead service work, commercial installations, and tenant improvements in the Coquitlam area. You will ensure safety, quality, and alignment with project scope, while mentoring apprentices and coordinating with the office team.

Candidate must have a Red Seal and at least two years of commercial electrical experience, with strong blueprint reading, code knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum in commercial electrical construction, service, and maintenance.
• Certified Inter-Provincial Red Seal Journeyman Electrician (mandatory).
• Experience with distribution, lighting control, fire alarm, and data systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and bylaws.
• Proficient in trades math and basic calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Own tools and test equipment; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of team work with feedback.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built drawings.
• Assist with change orders per company processes.
• Keep sites safe, clean, and organized.
• Assign tasks and mentor apprentices; monitor progress.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and engineers.
• Ensure installations, testing, and commissioning meet standards.
• Attend safety meetings and report progress.
