Reporting to the Service Manager, The Journeyman Electrician is responsible to provide excellent customer service in the service, repair and maintenance of all petroleum equipment.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Repair, maintain and trouble shoot problems with retail and commercial petroleum equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Provide rotational after hours and weekend support to Customer’s.
  • Prepare work orders and safety documentation to company specifications.
  • Conduct work in a safe and practical manner.
Qualifications
  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A technical background in mechanical, electrical or electronics is an asset.
  • Preferably possess a Petroleum Equipment Service Technician certificate or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Be a team player with the drive to learn and keep up to date on new petroleum equipment.
  • Experience in the petroleum industry.
  • Must be willing to travel and be prepared to work on-call and overtime.

3rd year electrical apprentice would also be an significant consideration, we are licensed electrical contractor and could offer completion of trade certification

Working conditions

The selected individual will need to work in various conditions and environments. Normal conditions are: outdoor, hazardous areas, confined space, work at heights and driving. Training will be provided.

Physical requirements

The selected individual will need to be able to work at heights, in tight spaces and on their feet for the majority of the workday.
