Job summary

Bunge Canada is seeking a skilled electrician to support plant operations in Russell, MB. You will troubleshoot electrical equipment, install new services, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with vendors and maintenance staff.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing predictive and preventive maintenance, and maintaining orderly work areas. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized electrical program with interprovincial journeyperson electrician ticket.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills and team orientation.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and update them as necessary.

A Day in the Life:

Provide electrical support services to plant operations, troubleshoot equipment, install new services, maintain safety of employees and facilities, communicate with vendors, keep accurate records, and participate in emergency callouts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform all duties safely, display safety leadership, cultivate a zero incident safety culture, and comply with all government and corporate safety requirements.
• Work with department managers, supervisors, contractors, and hourly employees
• Maintain all electrical equipment, PLC, power distribution, and related services within areas of expertise.
• Responsible for doing predictive and preventive maintenance checks as required by maintenance program.
• Responsible for recording labour and materials used on complete work orders, contacting vendors, ordering supplies, and keeping accurate records.
• Responsible for maintaining the working area in a safe, tidy condition.
• Work with peers at other Bunge sites, safety resources, technical staff, and other support personnel.
• Interact with service providers such as vendors, government regulators and inspectors, contractors, and consultants.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skill Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of a recognized electrical program with interprovincial journeyperson electrician ticket.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills and team orientation
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and update them as necessary.
• Knowledge of application software including Word, Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC software.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required
