Job summary

Elevation HR is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join a maintenance camp team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This full-time role focuses on electrical and instrumentation services for the oil and gas industry, offering consistent work with emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a certified Journeyman Electrician license, can work shift work including overtime and weekends, and has multiple safety certifications (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, Fall Arrest, Aerial Work

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyman Electrician with proven field experience.
  • Mandatory H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, Fall Arrest, and Aerial Work Platform.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies for client and customers.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications.
  • Test electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Install, examine, replace and repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, motors and drivers.
  • Understand the Canadian electrical code book.
  • Submit daily tickets and manage material orders.

Our client in Grande Prairie, Alberta, is seeking experienced local Journeyman Electricians for a full-time, maintenance camp position. This established company provides trusted electrical and instrumentation services to the oil and gas industry, offering reliable, consistent work with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the safety policies set out by our client and their customers.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Install, examine, replace and/or repair electrical components including but not limited to wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, AC/DC motors and drivers.
  • The ability to understand the Canadian electrical code book.
  • Keep up on all admin duties including submitting daily tickets and material ordering.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician
  • Flexible Work Schedule – The ability to work shift work, overtime, and weekends.
  • Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, Fall Arrest, and Aerial Work Platform Required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Must be able to work well in a team or independently when required.
  • Industrial oil & gas industry experience is an asset.
