Job description

Take a look at this local Journeyman Electrician role position in Edmonton with a large, multi national heavy equipment manufacturer.

Agilus is recruiting for a Journeyman Electrician in the Heavy Equipment Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

As a Journeyman Electrician you will be responsible for conducting on-site electrical, mechanical, structural and electronic troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs utilizing visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment and hoists at customer locations. Be available “on call” as part of service office rotation and provide after-hours service, as required.
• Perform a general post repair audit prior to completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies and attaching a deficiency tag.
• Document findings and make corrective recommendations during the safety review to the customer including a written note of any observed or known safety concerns.
• Consult with customer regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss during the visit recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their productivity. Determine items requiring quotation.

Requirements

• A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright.
• Good driving record and valid drivers license.
• Must possess good computer, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent customer interaction skills. Must be able to work overtime or as required by customer operations.
• Troubleshooting and repair aptitude.
