Job summary

Manufacturing Job Site seeks Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices for long-term BC projects including Langley, Surrey and Burnaby. Projects are institutional, commercial, and industrial, not residential, with extensive training and safety emphasis.

Wages are competitive and benefits are offered. You will work on large school and industrial facilities, with opportunities for advancement for skilled individuals.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or apprentice status for large-venue projects in BC.
• Certificate recognized for provincial licensing is required or desired.
• Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduit, wire and BX installs on commercial/industrial sites.
• Distribute equipment and control panels.
• Fire alarm and low voltage lighting control installations.
• Finish work with fixtures and devices; perform lighting upgrades.

Journeyman Certified Electricians and Apprentices

For large 2-year high school & middle school projects in Langley, as well as many schools in Surrey and Burnaby.

Who We Are

Since 1987 we have specialized in all types of institutional projects, commercial, and industrial facilities.

We are based in Abbotsford, B.C., but work in the Fraser Valley as well as Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, New West, Delta, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Squamish etc. We are on site in Langley for 2 large schools and a new indoor soccer field, as well as several other Institutional and Industrial projects in Surrey, Burnby, Delta, New West, Langley, and Chilliwack. We alse have an upcoming large industrial project in Squamish starting this summer.

About These Positions

We are looking for Journeyman Certified Electricians, and Apprentices for long-term positions. We always offer advancement for the right skill set individuals.

You will work on interesting and challenging buildings, not in residential sectors. We provide top-notch training to develop your skills and at the same time keep you safe. No UBC, Vancouver Airport, or downtown core.

Specific Duties Include

• Conduit and wire and BX installs
• Distribution equipment
• Fire alarm and low voltage lighting control
• Finishing, including fixtures and devices
• Lighting upgrades

Key Requirements for Journeymen

• EMT conduit bending experience would be an asset
• Interprovincial Journeyman certificate (for Journeymen) - we are hiring at all levels!
• Strong communication skills
• Own your own hand tools
• Able to pass a criminal record to meet project requirements

Requirements For Apprentices

• Electrical Apprentices – 1-4 years of experience
• New Apprentices – Electrical pre-apprentice course or some construction experience.
