Job summary

Prince George Ford is seeking an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to perform gas and diesel repairs, inspections and road testing. You will diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and communicate findings to customers.

Role requires good communication skills, ability to work with precision, and adherence to manufacturer specs. Relocation assistance is offered; salary is hourly with a flat rate option considered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman or eligible to obtain certification.
• Red Seal certification preferred.
• CVIP Licence would be an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs.
• Inspect and test motors, road test vehicles, and diagnose faults with tools.
• Adjust, repair, or replace automotive components using hand tools and equipment.
• Test and adjust systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on repairs and future vehicle needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proven mechanical abilities in Gas and Diesel automotive repairs
• Inspect and test motors, road test vehicles, and use diagnostic tools to identify faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace automotive system components using hand tools and specialized equipment
• Test and adjust systems to meet manufacturer specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups
• Advise customers on repairs, vehicle condition, and future needs.
• Effectively communicate both verbally and writing, computer proficient

Qualifications:

• Licenced Journeyman or ability to obtain certification from previous experience
• Red Seal certification preferred
• CVIP Licence would be an asset
• Valid class 5 drivers license or equivalent with a clean abstract

Salary: $38.00/hour
