Job summary

WQS Industrial Services Ltd. in Fort McMurray, AB, is recruiting Journeyman and Apprentice Ironworkers for rope access and ground work during the current turnaround season.

Hourly rates range from $27.00 to $67.00 CAD with a 6 days on / 1 day off schedule (12-hour days). Turns from August 2026 to October 2026 with potential extension. Flights and camp are provided; apply with required certifications in the portal.

Qualifications

• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Red Seal Ironworker Certification is required.
• IRATA Rope Access Level 1–3 is ideal.
• Must be fit for duty and able to pass safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform rope access and ground work as part of turnaround projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and Canadian workplace standards.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a 6 on / 1 off schedule in Fort McMurray.

WQS Industrial Services Ltd. (WQS IND) is now recruitingJourneyman & Apprentice Ironworkersfor Rope Access and Ground scopes this current Turnaround season in Fort McMurray, AB.

Schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off - 12-hour days.

Anticipated Turnaround Duration: August 2026 - October 2026, possibility of extension

Hourly Rate: $27.00 - $67.00

What You Will Bring

• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Red Seal Ironworker Certification required.
• Rope Access IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification is ideal.
• Must be Fit for Duty at all times and be able to comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace which includes alcohol and drug testing.
• Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract, Common Safety Orientation & Confined Space Certification are a bonus.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must.
• Demonstrate high standards of safety and align with best-in-class company culture.
