Subcool Mechanical is a leading provider of plumbing and gasfitting services, specializing in remote camp installations and maintenance. We are currently seeking experienced Apprentice Plumbers/Gasfitters to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a variety of remote locations (nationwide), offering great pay, benefits, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service plumbing and gas systems in remote camps
  • Work with PVC, HDPE, PEX, and ABS piping materials
  • Diagnose, install, and repair plumbing fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems
  • Test systems for leaks and perform necessary repairs
  • Ensure compliance with local and provincial safety regulations
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot gas lines and propane systems, ensuring adherence to safety codes
  • Replace non-compliant equipment to meet current safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized worksite and uphold high standards of quality and safety
Qualifications
  • Journeyman: must have their Journeyman Ticket
  • Apprentices: must be enrolled in or have completed a plumbing/gasfitting apprenticeship program
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Attention to detail and precision in all tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in various conditions
  • Valid Driver's License (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel 100% to remote locations
  • Ability to depart from Edmonton, Alberta

Scheduling & Location
