Job summary

Stingray is seeking a Software Developer (AppliedAI) to join its AI team in Montreal. The role focuses on designing solutions using LLMs and guiding adoption across the company, reporting to the AI Adoption Leader.

Responsibilities include building scalable systems, integrating modern AI tools, and mentoring teammates. Requires 5+ years of experience, strong Python, and proficiency in English and French.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in Python and FastAPI ecosystem.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and Redis.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and French.

We are currently looking for a Software Developer(AppliedAI) to join ourAIteam. This position reports to theAI Adoption Leader.

• Design, build, and deployapplication and tools integrating LLMs, from rapid prototypes to production-ready solutions
• Take an active role in the development and evolution of our agent platform, by proposing innovative technical solutions that address the company’s business needs and the evolution of new capabilities brought by AI
• Integrate modern agentic AI tools into the development workflow to automate repetitive tasks and accelerate delivery
• Participate inthe design and architecture of complex, resilient, and maintainable software systems, ensuring they meet the company’s current and future need s
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and actively improve the overall system architecture
• Collaborate with product managers and other teams to define requirements and make key architectural decisions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, including performing code reviews
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues to ensure our services are stable and reliable
• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent significant practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Deepexpertisein Python and its ecosystem, including extensive experience with frameworks likeFastAPI, testing tools likePyTest, and ORMs likeSQLAlchemy
• Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, and building scalable, maintainable, and resilient systems
• Advancedproficiencywith SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and in-memory caching solutions (e.g., Redis)
• Experience with UX design and building intuitive interfaces
• Expertisein containerization with Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (French and English)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with front-end technologies, particularly Node.js and React
• Experience with specific cloud-native services such as Google Vertex AI,BigQuery, AWS S3, or Kubeflow
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
