SUMMARY

Reporting to the Warehouse Department, this position is responsible for the Safe and Efficient operation of the forklift assigned to the Warehouse area.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHT SHIFT (10PM TO 6AM)

Rate of pay: $24.25/hr
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform a pre-shift inspection of the Forklift
  • Complete pre-shift Daily Inspection form and hand-in at the start of shift
  • Operate equipment/machinery following all Safety procedures
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to Lead hand or Warehouse Supervisor
  • Monitor Quality of material and product being handled and report any deficiencies to Lead Hand or Warehouse Supervisor
  • Ensure that material is stored in appropriate/designated storage areas
  • Ensure accuracy of material supplied to Production line
  • Ensure the handling of blue bed with care without damaging
  • Ensure the handling of wooden pallets with care without damaging
  • Picking Siding, Accessories, Shakes and purchase product damage free
  • Maintain housekeeping/cleaning of equipment and around assigned work area
  • Participate in Department and Company meetings as applicable and provide feedback to Lead hand or Warehouse Supervisor for Continuous improvement
  • Participate in mid and year-end inventory count if needed
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping/Warehouse Lead Hand and Supervisors.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset but not a requirement
  • Forklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program
  • Demonstrates ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Ability to complete reports accurately and legibly
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player, strong interpersonal skills
