A leading mutual insurance company in Toronto is seeking an Actuarial Consultant for the Insurance Risk Management team. This full-time role involves analyzing pricing, underwriting, and reserving risks, while fostering stakeholder relationships and contributing to strategic initiatives. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and should ideally have actuarial experience alongside knowledge of SQL, R, and Python.
English (This role is considered a head‑office role and will be required to communicate with internal stakeholders across Canada).
Estimated range: $95,000 – $140,000. Candidates with expectations outside the range are encouraged to apply.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Actuarial Consultant of Insurance Risk Management contributes to accurate and timely measurement, monitoring and reporting of pricing, underwriting, reserving, catastrophe and reinsurance risks. The successful candidate will build business acumen to inform strategic initiatives, business processes and regulatory requirements, applying their knowledge to a broad range of actuarial analysis on emerging and ongoing risks across the organization.
