The City of Hamilton seeks an E Learning Specialist for Enterprise Asset Management to design, deliver, and manage learning programs and digital training content for Infor EAM and related processes.
You will own EAM e‑learning workstreams, create standardized resources, and collaborate with EAM Superusers, HR, IT, and divisions to reflect system changes in training and drive organizational capability.

Reports to the Manager of Departmental Planning, Performance & Continuous Improvement, designs, delivers, and manages learning programs and digital training content that build organizational capacity and proficiency in the use of Infor EAM and related asset management processes. Establishes authority, ownership, and leadership over EAM e-learning workstreams and builds long‑term sustainability and consistency of e‑learning practices by championing the creation of standardized resources, processes, and templates.
Performance will be measured through achievement of defined training and adoption metrics, including maintaining a ≥ 90% completion rate for all assigned EAM training modules, achieving ≥ 85% learner satisfaction or confidence ratings post‑training, ensuring training materials are updated within ten business days of system changes, contributing to a 15% annual reduction in EAM‑related help‑desk tickets attributed to user errors, and ensuring 100% of new employees complete required EAM onboarding within 30 days of hire.
Develops, creates, delivers and maintains learning materials and programs to build organizational capability in the use of the City’s EAM system (Hexagon/Octave) and related business processes across multiple divisions throughout the organization. This role supports knowledge retention across all staff levels and enables continuous learning as the City of Hamilton’s EAM system evolves by ensuring consistent onboarding, skills development, and knowledge retention for staff across all divisions.
Supports corporate outcomes in workforce development, digital adoption, and continuous improvement through delivery of high-quality, accessible training and communications.
Champion the creation of standardized resources, processes, and templates.
Support and build the capacity of Public Works staff and other stakeholders in instructional design and e‑learning concepts.
Recommend and develop programs aligned to EAM system needs and strategies.
Delivers quality services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Partners with EAM Superusers, HR (for Learning Management System integration), IT (for system access and e‑learning delivery), and various Divisions (to identify training needs and priorities).
Coordinates with Hexagon/Octave, training consultants, and implementation partners to update learning content and ensure system changes are reflected in training.
Organizational outcomes include confident, capable, and consistent use of the EAM system across the organization, leading to higher data quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
All EAM roles contribute directly to the City’s Asset Management and Transformation outcomes by:
Work closely with subject matter experts on content creation (storyboards, scripts) for training resources.
Apply creative thinking and domain expertise for innovative training programs.
Develop virtual instructor‑led learning courses and migrate them into the self‑led environment.
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) reviews, provide documented feedback.
Lead divisional training champions, monitor delivery, ensure completion by group.
Setup of learning platforms, environments, and training data.
Conduct assessments and performance audits to measure effectiveness to better understand the issues that are supporting and/or hindering high performance.
Performs other duties as assigned which are related to responsibilities of the job.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A VALID CLASS "G" DRIVER'S LICENCE AND PROOF THEREOF IS REQUIRED AFTER HIRE.

35 per week
