Job summary

The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton is seeking reliable ushers to assist with seating, crowd flow and patron support during performances. You will greet patrons, guide them to seats and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

This part-time paid position requires flexible weekend and evening availability; some weekday shifts are a plus. Prior customer service experience and excellent verbal communication are essential to ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable theatre experience.

Qualifications

• Frequent availability to work weekends and evenings (Some weekday availability would be an asset).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to problem solve and think on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth seating and departure of patrons at performances and events.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patrons.
• Maintain order and ensure adherence to theatre and safety rules.

Ushers:

• ensure the smooth and efficient seating and departure of the public at performances and events
• provide a high level of customer service
• maintain order and ensure adherence to theatre and safety rules

This is a part-time paid position. Volunteer usher positions are also available. The number and length of shifts vary based upon our show and rental schedules and needs.
