Job summary

Tekshapers in Toronto is seeking a senior Java developer to design and implement scalable backend services. You’ll leverage Java streams, concurrency, and collections, work with Spring Boot, and own build pipelines with Maven or Gradle.

You'll apply Apache Beam on Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage, while configuring logging and monitoring in GCP and managing BOMs in pom.xml to avoid version conflicts.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java, including Streams, Threads, and Collections.
• Experience with Spring Boot and building Java projects with Maven or Gradle.
• Ability to manage BOM in pom.xml and resolve version conflicts.
• Experience configuring logging and monitoring in Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on Apache Beam in Java and using Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub.

• In depth knowledge of Java concepts including Streams, Threads, and Collections
• Advanced proficiency in Java programming with experience using Spring Boot
• Proficiency in setting up Java projects using Maven or Gradle
• Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) in pom.xml and ability to manage version conflicts effectively
• Ability to configure logging in Java projects and monitor/debug logs in GCP
• In depth knowledge and hands on experience with the Apache Beam programming model and its Java SDK
• Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform services including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and optionally Cloud SQL
