Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer in Toronto to design, develop, and maintain scalable services.

You will work in a global, distributed Agile team, translating business needs into robust APIs and optimizing performance while deploying to Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Strong experience with Java backend development.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs.
• Experience deploying to Azure Cloud.
• Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.
• Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in global distributed Agile teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Deploy, monitor, and support applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Required Skills

• Experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with API Integration and REST services.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services and deployments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in performance tuning and application optimization.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging frameworks.
• Experience working in global, distributed Agile teams.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
