Insight Global is looking for a Java Developer to join the team at one of our largest banking clients for a 6-month contract to full-time position. The successful candidate will be working with a team to develop enterprise-level applications across the bank. The successful candidate will be comfortable writing net new Java code and working within a microservice infrastructure leveraging REST and SOAP APIs.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Java development

• Hands-on experience deploying in OpenShift

• Experience building images using Docker

• Experience working within a microservice infrastructure (leveraging APIs including REST or SOAP)

• Computer Science or related secondary education

• Familiar with the use of AI or LOM coding assistance but NEED to be able to write net new java code independently - Experience working at large-scale organizations

• Knowledge of certificate chains and different TLS packages and versions

• Any experience working with DataPower and familiar with XSLT, XPATH, and XML

• Any experience using AI integration tools ie. RAG (retrieval augmented generation) or MCP (model context protocol) as channels for integration
