Techso is looking to expand its development team. You will be working as a Java Developer to meet the needs of our customers based in Montreal and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of customers' projects, including new applications, new functionalities, bug fixes and maintenance.
• Help define the architecture of innovative solutions following needs analysis.
• Define technical and functional specifications.
• Evaluate development efforts for new solutions or improvements.
• Put developed solutions into production and manage change.
• Participate in management’s pre‑sales efforts (effort evaluations, technology analysis).
• Guarantee the highest development standards by following the software development cycle (code review, unit testing).
• Support the continuous improvement of development activities (agility, code assembly, automated testing, deployment).
• Provide support to colleagues and mentor juniors.
• Stay aware of new solutions and technologies on the market.
• Work with Agile – Scrum teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software.
• Solid knowledge of object‑oriented development in Java (Spring framework is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of front‑end development (React, Angular, VueJS, …).
• Strong relational database skills (use of ORMs and DAOs such as Hibernate, SQL, ETL). Knowledge of NoSQL databases a plus.
• Good knowledge of basic DevOps concepts (Azure DevOps is a plus).
• Knowledge of other programming languages: C#, PHP, Node.JS, Python.
• Used to working in an Agile and collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Good communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal skills and love of teamwork.
