Job summary

Randstad Enterprise in Montreal, Canada is seeking a highly motivated Java backend developer. The role requires taking ownership of projects, clarifying business requirements, and delivering clean, scalable code.

You will work in a collaborative, flexible environment with a global team across time zones. The ideal candidate has 7-15 years of backend Java experience, deep knowledge of core Java, RESTful services, and modern design patterns.

Qualifications

• 7-15 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles: MVC, data structures, graph data, algorithms, design patterns, multithreading, caching, recursion.
• Strong knowledge of core Java: class loading, garbage collection, Java collections API, Reflections API, Java 8 Streams and Functional Programming.
• Strong knowledge of Non-Relational Databases and No-SQL (Mongo DB).
• Strong knowledge of BDD (behavior-driven development) with JBehave/Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with DMN and BPMN tooling.
• Strong knowledge of Representation state transfer (RESTful Web services).
• Strong communication skills - able to work with global team members, across different time zones.
