Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Java Cloud Architect to lead cloud modernization and architectural transformation for enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.

You will define migration strategies, design target architectures, and drive DevOps, CI/CD and security across platforms. The role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, containers and Azure services, including AKS, App Services, API Management, Azure SQL and Service Bus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience architecting cloud-native Java applications for enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and patterns.
• Experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ability to design scalable, secure, cost-efficient architectures for modern apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives for enterprise Java apps on Azure.
• Define migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Rearchitect) and target-state architectures.
• Architect cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, Containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Azure services.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Key tech exp: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Azure (AKS, App Services, API Management, Azure SQL, Service Bus), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
