Job summary

Apptoza Inc. in Toronto seeks an experienced Java developer to design and implement backend services using Spring and Spring Boot, with emphasis on multi-threaded processing and REST APIs.

The role involves building Kafka producers/consumers, integrating with the Kafka cluster (Zookeeper), and contributing to CI/CD deployments. Familiarity with Swagger, MongoDB, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Docker is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful microservices and multi-threaded apps.
• Kafka producer/consumer experience on a cluster with Zookeeper.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Job description

Strong Java development experience using Spring and Sprinboot Framework| Multi-Threading and Rest API.

Experience in Kafka Producer and Consumer application on Kafka Cluster set up with Zookeeper.

Experience in Spring boot microservices to process the messages into the Kafka cluster setup through Rest API.

Experience in Confluent/Apache Kafka architecture| Confluent/Apache Kafka design principles| CI/CD Deployment procedures.

Experience in Swagger| MongoDB| and SQL server.

Knowledge of Elasticsearch| Logstash| Kibana Experience in GitHub| Docker| and Junit Experience in executing various development methodologies such as Agile etc.

Nice-to-have:

Preferred a background in Finance / Capital Markets| demonstrating basic Understanding in industry practice and terminology.
