Overview
Stuart Olson Alberta is looking for skilled Turnaround Managers to oversee the planning and execution of large-scale industrial turnaround projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget. You will work closely with site leadership, contractors, and support teams to deliver successful turnarounds that optimize plant reliability and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed turnaround execution plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource planning, and cost management.
- Lead cross-functional teams throughout each phase of the turnaround, ensuring alignment on goals, deliverables, and safety standards.
- Coordinate the efforts of multiple stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and operations personnel, to achieve seamless project execution.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, maintaining financial discipline and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate safety programs, environmental policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitor progress against milestones and proactively address risks, challenges, or deviations to maintain schedule and quality standards.
- Communicate project updates, performance metrics, and key outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing industrial turnarounds, shutdowns, or large-scale maintenance projects.
- Trade Certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate diverse teams.
- Proven track record in project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement.
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
