Overview

Jasper AB Lodging Food & Beverage Operations Manager — Pursuit Collection, Jasper, AB. Full-time, year-round position beginning May 2025. Reports to the Director of Food and Beverage Jasper and supports new initiatives while ensuring consistency across the BJC. This role is part of the shared services team and includes front line operational responsibilities in day-to-day F&B across multiple outlets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-floor coverage and hands-on operational leadership, especially in the absence of outlet managers, to ensure seamless service and a consistent guest experience.
  • Be present during peak periods, manager transitions, or unexpected absences to maintain continuity and leadership presence.
  • Deliver structured, consistent training and onboarding for all new F&B managers, including IT access, SOPs, and departmental tools.
  • Standardize and lead training for all salaried leaders, ensuring alignment with brand standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct F&B orientation for all leadership team members and provide ongoing coaching for development and growth.
  • Serve as the brand standards lead for Starbucks operations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and brand integrity; act as the primary liaison with Starbucks representatives.
  • Monitor and guide labour management at the manager level, including schedules, staffing plans, time off, and payroll practices aligned with volume and budgets.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of middle-management (Assistant Managers, F&B Managers).
  • Collaborate with managers to improve labour productivity, manage scheduling gaps, and plan for activations and busy periods.
  • Lead menu engineering and evaluate new product, menu, and package requests to align with brand standards and business goals; assist with menu development and beverage programming.
  • Support the development and launch of F&B Applications and Takeout Program with ongoing training and support.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with F&B teams and leadership across Jasper properties to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Prepare and submit activity, operational, and project status reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure outlets maintain high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction; contribute to revenue-driving promotions and guest-facing tactics.
  • Foster a culture that reflects Pursuit’s values and supports an inclusive, engaging workplace.
  • Engage with the community through volunteering and support team member participation.
Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years senior-level experience operating a 4+ million diverse F&B operation.
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field.
  • Proven experience building relationships and working with teams across all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and to model core values to motivate teams.
  • Experience in budgeting, Profit and Loss management and financial controls.
  • Excellent beverage, wine, and food knowledge; Pro Serve certificate; Sommelier qualification an asset.
  • Flexible schedule with weekends and evenings required.
  • Outstanding teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills.
