Jasper AB Becker's Chalets Prep Cook / Line Cook
Becker's Chalets – Jasper, Alberta, is seeking a temporary, seasonal, full‑time line cook or prep cook to join our gourmet restaurant team. The position is a fixed‑term contract lasting approximately four months (start immediately, ending October 18 2025).
Compensation & Benefits

Schedule & Location
Shifts: Morning (start early), Evening, weekdays Monday – Friday, and weekends as needed. French language not required. Location: Jasper, Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook full‑course meals and individual dishes, making modifications as requested
- Ensure smooth delivery of meals to dining guests, maintaining food quality and consistency in line with Alberta Food Safety and Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant standards
- Maintain quality and speed of output
- Prepare each menu item according to recipes and instructions
- Follow proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
- Communicate clearly with co‑workers and leadership to achieve seamless food‑service operation
- Adhere to cost‑control guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen (required)
- Previous experience in a high‑volume fine‑dining kitchen is an asset
- Ability to adapt to early morning shift start times
- Multitasking ability and effective teamwork as well as independent work
- Performs well under pressure and in challenging situations
- Maintains high standards of productivity and efficiency in the kitchen
- Punctual
- Must be able to stand, walk, use stairs, stools, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand in hot temperatures during duties
Additional Qualifications
- Must be a Canadian citizen, or hold a valid Canadian permanent‑residence card, or a valid Canadian working visa
- Preferred: 2 years of cooking experience
- License/Certification: Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler, or equivalent (required)
