Job summary

Henry's Holding Inc. seeks an experienced marketing specialist to lead the Japan launch and own the online sales channel end-to-end from Markham, ON. The role reports to the Marketing Manager and operates in a small team with independence.

You will drive go-to-market initiatives, optimize a Japanese DTC presence, and build relationships within Japan's cigar community to accelerate revenue while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven digital marketing and online selling experience (DTC/e-commerce).
• Business-level written Japanese; working English proficiency.
• Understanding of Japanese online shopper behavior.
• Self-directed, data-driven and compliant with policies.
• Able to work on-site in Markham, ON.
• Personal interest in cigars / premium lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow online sales from the Japanese market.
• Optimize the Japanese-language DTC presence for conversion, including SEO.
• Build relationships with Japan's cigar community to drive brand awareness and sales.
• Plan and execute go-to-market initiatives and measure ROI.
• Run campaigns in business Japanese across relevant platforms.
• Monitor sales, conversion, and ROI; report and refine strategy.
• Ensure activity complies with Japanese tobacco advertising rules and platform policies.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Job description

We're an online cigars and tobacco retailer with an established presence in the US market. Our business has been growing steadily, to cope with our expansion we are launching our operations into the Japanese premium cigar market, therefore we're looking for an experienced marketing specialist to lead the launch and drive sales. The successful candidate will own our Japan online sales channel from end to end. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working in a small team, this is an independent role for a self-starter.

What you'll do

• Own and grow online sales from the Japanese market
• Optimize our Japanese-language DTC presence for conversion, including Japanese SEO
• Build relationships with Japan's cigar community to drive awareness of our brand and ultimately drive sales
• Plan and execute go-to-market initiatives: test channels, measure ROI, and focus investment where it performs
• Run campaigns in business Japanese across relevant platforms
• Monitor sales, conversion, and ROI; report regularly and refine strategy based on results
• Ensure all activity complies with Japanese tobacco advertising regulations and platform policies; coordinate legal review before any external launch — no exceptions
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager

Must-have

• Proven experience in digital marketing and selling commodities online (DTC/e-commerce)
• Business-level written Japanese; working proficiency in English
• Genuine understanding of Japanese consumers behaviour of shopping online
• Self-directed and resourceful — with an ability to solve problems independently, while remaining aligned with company policies, framework and team culture
• Sound judgement supported by data
• Able to work on-site in Markham, ON

What we offer:

• Base Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
• Uncapped sales commission tied directly to Japan market revenue
