The Janitorial Shift Leader is responsible for on‑site supervision of a small team of janitorial staff at the Communitas Provincial Office and other locations as well as performing hands‑on janitorial duties.

Responsibilities

Supervise janitorial staff; ensure clean facilities; perform cleaning tasks; maintain equipment; collaborate with other departments.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 level education (preferred)
• Philosophy of service aligned with Communitas Vision Mission and Values
• Familiar with and able to implement Spirit of Gentleness principles
• Physically able to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong supervision and interpersonal skills; highly energetic and motivated
• Ability to model appropriate behavior: conduct, performance concerns, morale, work standards, appearance, professionalism, ethics, personal integrity
• Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently
• Initiative and ability to instruct staff on extra cleaning or special work as needed
• Experience with janitorial equipment, e.g., floor scrubbers & MegaVac 7141
• WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtain

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence
• Part‑time position (1) with 1 seat available

Shifts

Three 3‑hour shifts between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and two 5½‑hour shifts between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm on weekdays.

Salary

$18.80 - $21.37 per hour
