WHAT'S THE JOB?

Janitors are a vital asset who work with the Lead Housekeeper, Camp Manager, and the Recruitment Coordinator to maintain site cleanliness. This remote camp‑setting position comes with full meals, accommodations, travel, and farm‑style amenities.

• All meals and accommodations are provided
• Travel to and from each site is provided from Thunder Bay, Dryden and surrounding areas
• Private room with cable television
• Wi‑Fi, laundry, gym, and common area access

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all common areas, including gym, rec room, boot room and front lobby
• Garbage and recycling collection and removal
• Floor care, including sweeping prior to using the T‑300 floor scrubber
• Clean and sanitize all public washrooms and management offices
• Re‑fill hand sanitizer stations throughout site
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

• Related experience in remote lodge, hotel or institutional environment; commercial cleaning an asset
• Ability to commit to a 2‑week on / 2‑week off rotation
• Team‑player committed to client satisfaction
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize a working schedule
• Valid government‑issued photo ID for travel to site
• Physical demands: lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lb; climb ladders or stairs; stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit for extended periods; perform repetitive hand work requiring both hands; work with arms at full length or above shoulder height

Work schedule and remuneration

Janitors work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off. Sites are remote and may require air or ground shuttle travel. You may work nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Wage starts at $19.10 per hour.
