Qualifications

• Current registration/licensure in good standing with governing body.
• Experience in IV therapy and patient care preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Performs IV therapy care and related duties (inserting and maintaining IV lines, initiating IV infusion devices, administering medications, monitoring line status).
• Coordinate intake of patients into IV program and assess suitability for referral to community-based IV program.
• Educate and support patients on IV care and self-management.
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team (MD, ND, Advanced IV Therapist, Clinic Lead).
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and updated patient records.
• Maintain sterilized treatment area and high level of patient safety.
• Manage storage and inventory of vitamins and IV supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs IV therapy care and related duties such as inserting and maintaining IV lines, initiating IV infusion devices, administering antibiotics/medications, caring for and monitoring line status, dealing with clotting issues, performing blood draws through already peripherally inserted central catheters, coordinating intake of patients into the relevant IV program, identifying patient’s suitability for referral to a community-based IV program, and teaching patients about IV care and self-management.
