Job summary

The Waterloo Region District School Board invites applications for an Educational Assistant/Child and Youth Worker (EA/CYW). This posting is open to WRDSB employees who are members of the EA Association as well as external applicants.

All LTO assignments are subject to a revised end date with two weeks notice. Applicants must hold a CYW/CYC Diploma or equivalent and pass a Physical Demands test as a condition of employment. WRDSB is committed to equity and inclusion in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Must hold CYW/CYC Diploma or equivalent in a child-related field.
• Must pass Physical Demands test as a condition of employment.
• Ability to support students with diverse needs including toileting and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse needs in daily activities and learning.
• Communicate effectively with staff and students to coordinate supports.
• Abide by Board policies and equity commitments during hiring and placement.
