Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a Masters Degree in Counselling or Social Work including a successful practicum experience.
• Evidence of relevant and successful field experience in counselling.
• Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with school staff on mental health / behaviour support issues.
• Coordinate activities and behaviour support for assigned district schools.
• Provide consultative support for staff around student Individual Education Plans.

Skills

Training and experience with students with severe mental health challenges

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Communication of early intervention strategies

Experience with school-aged students
