Job summary

TEEMA Group is seeking an IT Test / Quality Assurance Consultant in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on manual testing, creating test cases, and defect analysis, with collaboration on automation using Tricentis for SAP environments.

You will design and execute test plans, analyze requirements, and perform exploratory testing while ensuring coverage across functional, integration, and end-to-end testing. Strong communication with project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Manual and Automated Test protocols and practice.
• Senior understanding of release testing in the environment it was developed to serve.
• Experience using Tricentis as a test tool within SAP environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute detailed manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze requirements and workflows to ensure complete manual test coverage.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation.
• Understand automation frameworks, test data strategies, and CI/CD execution flows.
• Validate automated test results and investigate failures.
• Ensure manual and automated test coverage complement each other.
• Create test cases, scripts, and traceability matrices aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Maintain reusable test assets and ensure documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify quality risks early and communicate them clearly to project teams.
• Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to ensure testability.
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers.
• Support UAT participants with scenarios, data, and defect triage.
• Provide clear daily test status updates and defect summaries.
