As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to users for the computer hardware, communication systems, and software used within the company (Windows, Office 365, and many others).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :
  • Respond to users’ IT requests to support various infrastructures and software
  • Configure, support, and manage the inventory of IT and network equipment (computers, printers, barcode readers, phone systems) and user software
  • Manage user accounts for the network, email inboxes, and other software while ensuring the security of confidential data
  • Conduct analyses to justify the purchase or replacement of IT equipment and prepare quotes from various suppliers
  • Research hardware and software solutions to meet user needs

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you'll succeed in this role :

  • DEC or AEC in Computer Science with a focus on networking
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WiFi, and / or VPN networks
  • Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft tools
  • Experience with Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Knowledge of VMWARE (an asset) or other hypervisors
