As an IT Systems Technician Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of systems technicians to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems. You will collaborate with other IT teams, analyze system requirements, and implement solutions to meet organizational needs. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to system administration.

  • Mentor a team of IT System Technicians, providing guidance, support, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to ensure the timely resolution of system-related issues.
  • Provide guidance on complex technical challenges and support team members in professional development.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights, and contributing to collaborative problem solving.
System Administration 35%
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, workstations, and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of systems through proactive monitoring, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and enforce security policies and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Technical Support 15%
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolving escalated system-related issues.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support for end‑users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming support requests to meet established service level agreements (SLA’S).
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to escalatie and resolve complex technical issues.
Infrastructure Optimization 20%
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to assess system requirements and implement solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The Ideal Candidate

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • Experience administering user accounts, groups, and organizational units within Active Directory.
  • Experience utilizing and configuring ManageEngine: ADManager.
  • Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration, and compliance.
  • Experience with JAMF MDM for managing and supporting macOS devices.
  • Comfortable using and troubleshooting both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience supporting and optimizing video conferencing platforms.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform for ticketing and workflow management.
  • Experience with automation and processes using scripting languages in PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services.

Specialized Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully leading IT support teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced/rapidly evolving environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to modern technologies and applications, applying them as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical users.
  • Strong documentation skills for processes, procedures, and training materials.
  • Ability to translate technical specifications into clear, non‑technical requirements.

The starting hourly range for this full‑time position in Irvine, CA is $37.79 - $47.22 per hour. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
