Job summary

DART is seeking an IT System Administrator to maintain and operate computer systems, servers and virtualization. You will work with the IT team on technical issues, upgrades and security.

You will install components, manage virtual servers, and automate processes while ensuring reliable operation of networks and data protection. Fluent English and French required; on-site in Saint-Laurent, QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
• 1-3 years of database, network or system administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems, software, hardware and protocols.
• Proven track record of IT strategy and planning.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• Knowledge of security, storage, data protection and DR practices.
• Experience using ITSM tools (e.g., Freshservice) to manage incidents.
• Communicate and document procedures effectively.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Ability to speak English and French.

Responsibilities

• Provide documentation and specs to plan IT upgrades and infra.
• Install and upgrade components, manage virtual servers, and automate processes.
• Maintain operation of computer systems, network servers, cloud networks and virtualization.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, document problems and resolutions.
• Communicate with customers at all levels of technical skill.
• Monitor LANs/WANs for security threats.
• Design and upgrade data security systems.
• Resolve tickets in a timely manner.
