Job summary

A premier Canadian ski resort located in British Columbia is seeking an experienced Tier 2 IT Support Technician. In this unique role, you will provide both on-site and remote support for a variety of systems and devices. Job description

We are looking for an experienced Tier 2 IT Support Technician at Sun Peaks Resort. We need someone who can hit the ground running with a mix of complex and business as usual requests. This is a unique role as our IT team gets to have a blend of hands‑on and behind‑the‑desk experience in our operations. One minute you are working on internal requests and technical support for Finance, and the next you are hopping on a snowmobile to get to a lift hut to help someone at the top of a run.

We have a lot of cool tools, with nearly 1,200 devices across Canada’s second‑largest ski area and a four‑season mountain resort. There is lots of room for growth here, and development opportunities with a strong team. If you like troubleshooting with a variety of systems, physical products and working with different teams and environments, this is a great destination for your career.

Compensation Information: $65,000 to $70,000 per annum
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 25 kg; both in an indoor & outdoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.
Primary Responsibilities
  • On‑site and in‑the‑office support of Sun Peaks Resort / Grand devices, systems and software.
  • Organize, prioritize and schedule workload using in‑house help desk systems.
  • Hardware/software staging, installation, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Installation of various network, A/V, and surveillance components.
  • Installation and support of POS and payment systems.
  • Asset management and documentation.
  • Assist with administration of server systems.
  • Onboarding/offboarding with user administration.
  • Lifting of equipment required at times (printers, furniture, servers, etc.).
  • Train new hires in the proper use of hardware and software.
Skills You Bring With You
  • Completion of accredited IT program.
  • Experience in Service Desk operations and end‑user support.
  • Proven discretion and confidentiality of personal information and administration.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard is considered an asset (not a requirement).
