About the Role

EBARA HG is seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for strengthening our cybersecurity posture across multiple facilities and IT environments. You will lead the deployment and management of security controls aligned with the CIS Controls Implementation Group 2 (IG2) framework, playing a key role in safeguarding sensitive enterprise and client data from evolving cyber threats. This position is ideal for someone with a hands‑on background in cybersecurity who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex security challenges, and takes a proactive approach to risk management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage CIS IG2 safeguards, building upon foundational IG1 controls.
  • Manage enterprise‑level technologies, including firewalls, IDS / IPS, EDR, DLP, and SIEM systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments using the CIS Risk Assessment Method (RAM) tailored for IG2 environments.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate vulnerabilities across network, cloud, and on‑premises systems.
  • Collaborate with internal IT, leadership teams, and global partners to align on security standards and manage risk profiles.
  • Support compliance with frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, PIPEDA / HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
  • Assist in audits and maintain thorough documentation for internal and external reviews.
  • Monitor for emerging threats, including zero‑day exploits and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
  • Lead and document incident response efforts and maintain updated playbooks.
  • Provide training and guidance to IT and end users on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management.
  • Strong understanding of CIS Controls (IG1 & IG2) and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience managing technologies such as firewalls, EDR, SIEM, IDS / IPS, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, PIPEDA / HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Security+, or GSEC are assets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
