IT PROJECT COORDINATOR

Victoria or Vancouver Lower Mainland

The Opportunity

You are a customer-focused team player, with strong communication skills and excellent analytical skills. Working closely with project teams, you coordinate project activities to help ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget. You assist with the planning and implementation of projects, and you respond to day-to-day communications as required.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Transformation, you add value by assisting us with:

  • Planning and implementation of a variety of Capital projects and initiatives, and responding to day-to-day communications as required;
  • Establishing and maintaining comprehensive document control procedures; tracking logs, project reports, status updates and update document repositories;
  • Attending project meetings while maintaining a high level of confidentiality;
  • Assisting in the procurement of services and materials;
  • Assist with the preparation of of policies, guidelines, project schedules, updating and reporting progress of the projects and initiatives;
  • Coordinating the facilitated requirements workshops, design, review and team meetings and document and publish meeting minutes;
  • Entering and processing purchase orders, change orders and facilitate invoice approvals;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date logs (Action/ Decision, Scope, Presentations and tables);
  • Maintaining document libraries.
What you bring to the team
  • Experience in IT project and program administration.
  • Proficient in applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience using Enterprise Applications such as Oracle Financials or similar accounting software.
  • Skilled in tracking program and project issues, risks, and changes.
  • Experienced in creating detailed project and program reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects toward successful results.
  • Strong commitment to ensuring high-quality standards and meeting requirements.
  • Project Management and ITIL training/certification would be an asset.
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or an IT-related discipline considered an asset.

Additional information

The target salary range:$57,400 - $71,700per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
